Like many Adelaide buildings built in the early 1900’s, Hidden Chocolate sits mostly disused. Modern building requirements have rendered the majority of its several floors unusable.
Hidden behind a gyprock wall lies its old original wooden staircase. It literally goes nowhere now; blocked from all floors to stop anybody entering; and only accessible from a small rectangular hole in a wall.
In its basement, nothing but empty space. Ceiling lights would have once illuminated items for sale. Floors once cleaned for bustling shoppers.
We’re keen to see inside other disused buildings of Adelaide. It’d be great if you can help us with that. Hit us up on our Contact Page!
