Back in 2019, we discovered one such hidden space: an oil storage bunker.
Adelaide‘s government facilities were, and still are, built with war-time and natural disasters in mind.
This hidden underground oil storage bunker serves as critical infrastructure for storing vast quantities of diesel oil.
The bunker’s walls are built of thick concrete and reinforced ceilings, protecting it against leaks and the weight of traffic above.
During a large-scale blackout, nearby diesel-oil-powered electrical generators and diesel-oil-powered steam generators kick into gear.
In this insane world bent on trying to end fossil fuels, it’s the sanest choice.
