Location: Metro Adelaide

It’s hard to imagine this bando has sat around for several years. Back in 2015, a young explorer named Grebz took me to this spot. He showed me a number of locations but this one was vibrant with character. Explorers had coined a few names for it: it was known as either “The Market Street Abando” or aptly named “Porno Palace” due to the numerous porn magazines strewn throughout the place.

It operated as a small repair business for most of its life. In the 1950’s and 60’s Gregson’s operated from the building repairing children’s prams and strollers. In the 80’s and 90’s it operated as a bicycle repair and servicing workshop. It became a popular place with the younger crowd who would often go there to hire a bicycle relatively inexpensively.
